how cute 2...

for the second season in a row, natalia vodianova heads stella mccartney's print campaign. in a simple studio shoot it is all about natalia's stunning face and the chic, minimalist clothes stella has proposed for fall. as with all of stella's campaigns there is an element of art bought into the mix, this season, her logo has been manipulated into witty little characters that seem to interact with natalia, much to her oblivion, very cute indeed...

oops...!

same dress, 3 different publications! which cover do you think does this miu miu dress the most justice?

chameleon karen

it is quite amazing to see one girl in 2 entirely different campaigns in one season and for her to look virtually unrecognizable by comparision. such is the case with karen elson, who, for fall 2010 is featured in the hyper-feminine mad-men era louis vuitton campaign, and then she goes way, way into the future, looking almost alien-like for balenciaga. so, the question is, which karen do you like better, the karen who embraces her curves in seductive lv, or the karen who looks like she may be 'coming in peace' for balenciaga, in the chicest way possible...

BA-LEN-CI-AGA

for fall 2010, nicolas ghesquiere chose, for the second season in a row, to use a multi-girl campaign to sell his wares for balenciaga. the campaign, which looks like it was shot on the surface of mars, features freja beha-erichsen, stella tennant, karen elson, meghan collison, eliza cummings, julija steponaviciute, mirte maas, valerija kelava, kirsi pyrhonen + caroline brasch-nielsen. the faces and the clothes look amazing, it is really exciting to see the clothes in this context, it gives you another story to put to the clothes, because the clothes themselves are kind-of out-of-this-world, so this 'space-age' setting is extremely appropriate.

la la lanvin fall 2010

lanvin's amazing fall 2010 ad campaign, featuring none other than mariacarla boscono, anja rubik and magdalena frackowiak. i love the kind of symmetry and balance in the pictures and the kind of contained madness, your eyes darting all over the place just trying to take in all the details.

it was only a matter of time...

la gaga takes a spill @ heathrow, ouch!

another side to ms. mcneil

from french couture to aussie undies, catherine mcneil can do it all, featured here in 2 new campaigns for 'bonds,' the second of which is called 'made 2 share,' a unisex line also featuring aussie cricketer michael clarke

having been featured in ad campaigns for the worlds best, dior, louis vuitton, givenchy, dolce & gabbana and jean-paul gaultier, it is great to see that she will still support home-grown brands.

leaving on a jet plane... givenchy style

the newly released ad campaign for givenchy's fall 2010 luggage, featuring maglosia bela, mariacarla boscono and our very own catherine mcneil. i love the styling and boy does cat look good with red hair...

miranda x jil

debuted yesterday on 'style.com/' miranda kerr for jil sander fall 2010. a great shot, she looks very serene, although i am not totally keen on the side-boob action. speaking of side-boob action...

can the girl do no wrong...

miranda kerr is on quite the roll, david jones ambassador, victoria's secrets angel, appearances at prada's and balenciaga's fall 2010 catwalks, a couple of covers for gq magazine, a couple of appearances in v magazine, cover of i-d magazines latest issue, a steamy shoot for numero magazine and now, making her presence felt in prada fall 2010 ad campaign, cozying up to the classic clement chaubernaud, lucky girl...

lanvin spring 2011 menswear

lucas ossendrijver and alber elbaz presented their spring 2011 menswear collection for lanvin on the 27th of last month. it was my favourite collection from the spring 2011 season, it just had this kind of dressed up, casual ease that i find really refreshing and new. the looks seem just effortlessly cool, the sense of layering without the heaviness, in the tromp l'oeil cotton tee/wool vest and the drop shoulder double-breasted jacket with the flesh coloured sleeves and navy vest front. this was also seen in the jacket/coat concotion that draped in the front. i loved the thin long sleeved tees, one with a trompe l'oeil cummerbund, another with wrapped shoulders. the silhouettes, however simple, many of the overall looks were highly decorated, borrowing from the womens collection, the tribal-inspired jewellery looked every bit as right on the boys as it does the girls. the patched leather vest and coat, again hinted to the tribal but in a modern, sharp way. the bags and shoes felt very industrial, with chunky hardware and their mix of suede, leather, nylon. a visual feast of highly desirable clothes and accessories from the powerhouse of lanvin
