as i mentioned in my previous post, today i went to chadstone. and i was a tad extravagant. for my birthday, 'sunglasses hut' sent me a $20 gift voucher, and being the sucker that i am, i used it today, i bought the limited edition 'tom ford james bond 007' aviators, they're kind of amazing... light as a feather, with leather bound arms, totally luxurious, MAGIC...
i also bought an ex-army jacket, from 'aussie disposals.' i tried on about half-a-dozen different ones over the course of the day, a couple from general pants co., one from glue and a couple from myer, all at varying price points. none of them, however, felt right, kind-of 'try-hard,' they lacked authenticity, so remembering 'a-d' was at cranbourne, i stopped off, and much to my delight, they had this little beauty... the tag is even in russian, how more authentic can you get...
i also had a mini-shopping spree at 'borders,' buying the new 'us vogue' with la bundchen on its cover + the lonely planets guide to new york [planning a trip for september with my friend ellen, whether or not we actually go is another thing, but still, it's fun to fantisize] + 2 penguin books, for future train rides to melbourne and lazy afternoons...
